Hallo ihr Lieben,

oben könnt ihr euch das Video vom Interview direkt anschauen, wie der Titel schon sagt geht nicht nur um Cosplay, sondern auch um Craftbier und Gin. Ich habe ein paar meiner Kostümteile und Props mitgebracht und plaudere ein wenig aus dem Cosplay-Nähkästchen. Thomas hat sich lieberweise beim Getränkeschwerpunkt auf mich eingestellt und alles was ich probieren durfte kannte ich vorher noch nicht (hmmm lecker war´s). Das Unlicht ist hier zu finden.

Last year at Epic con I had my first cosplay contest ever. The last stage performance was in the kindergarten or maybe primary school, it´s even so long ago, that I can´t remember.

The last weeks before the convention I watched out for some youtube videos, forum entries and blogs about the “cosplay contest topic”, but felt a bit overwhelmed and scared about it. There are so many different types of conventions, conditions and implementations with different rules and severity and the more I read or watch, the more uncertain I got. So I decided to stop doing this and also making myself crazy about the effort I´d be “meant to”.

Materials needed: paper + pen, poolnoodle, expanding foam, cardboard, thick thread (wool), Worbla, 3-4 screws, screwdriver, fur (in 2 colours), buckle (metal), strap/leather, craft knives, taylor scissor, pins/safety pins, paper scissor, sewing machine/sewing needle and matching yarn Optional: cheap fabric, acryl paint (black), metal rings...

Materials needed: plastic wrap, Vaseline, piece of toilet paper, ca. 6-10 rolls of plaster, bucket, sand, Styrofoam head or piece of Styrofoam or styrodur, molding plaster, plastic bowl with water, black marker or soft pencil, gaffer tape, hedge trimmer or old scissors, piece of felt, glue...

Let´s go! I had to find good shoes for the base, preferred comfortable and cheap. I wanted to have wedges with a medium heel for long convention days.  I found a pair on amazon, app. 18€. The back of the shoes was open, but I...
